Chen Taekwondo has a reputation for training strong competitors, on a provincial, national, and world class level. Working out with Taekwondo is not only fun and exciting, but it will improve your posture, help you lose fat, improve the condition of your heart, and increase your self image and intellectual capacity. Children 4-7 Years
Our 4-7 year olds class offers a fun class for young children to begin learning Taekwondo in a relaxed setting. In this class we introduce students to the fundamentals of Taekwondo, we focus on basic techniques, stretching, and exercises.

Children 8-12 Years
Children's class teach an effective self-defense program and a means for character development and self-disipline. Children learn to concentrate and focus their energy constructively, which results in improvement in school and at home.

Youth/Adult, 13 Years & Older
Our adult program provides a comprehensive course in Taekwondo. Adults notice improvements in their coordination, flexibility, and strength. Taekwondo reduces body fat and builds muscle mass. It also helps relieve stress and tension.
Private Lessons
Private lessons with us are tailored to each student's learning style and area of development. Student's seeking a deeper understanding of Taekwondo or those not comfortable with groups are a good fit for private lessons.

What The Belt Colors Mean
White Belt (10th kup) - signifies Innocence and purity as the student has no previous knowledge of Taekwondo.
Yellow Belt (8th kup) - signifies gold: an element of the Earth. Gold in turn represents truth and the foundation of Taekwondo. Green Belt (6th kup) -signifies growth as Taekwondo skills begin to grow and develop. Blue Belt (4th kup) - signifies heaven as the student matures and progresses in training. Red Belt (2nd kup) - signifies the sun, the center of our solar system. Red also signifies danger cautioning the student to excercise control and warning the opponent to stay away. Black Belt (1st Dan) -is the opposite of white signifying maturity and proficiency in Taekwondo. It also indicates the wearer's invulnerability to darkness an fear. Black represents the Universe. |
